Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. All data is transmitted over HTTPS using TLS encryption.

Sensitive API keys are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption before storage. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.

We implement row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data. Admin access is strictly controlled and audited.

We only share data with third-party services as necessary to operate the platform (e.g. passing your Alpaca keys to execute simulated trades on your behalf). We never share your data for advertising purposes.

Social features (leaderboard, trade feed) are entirely opt-in. Your trading activity is private by default.

If you enable public profile or leaderboard visibility in Settings, your display name and trade statistics will be visible to other users. You can disable this at any time.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Anonymised, aggregated trading statistics may be retained for platform analytics.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — specifically Supabase authentication session cookies required for you to stay logged in. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

Alpevox is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

12. Live Trading and Financial Data

Alpevox supports both paper (simulated) and live trading via Alpaca Markets. When live trading is enabled, real financial transactions are executed on your behalf using your Alpaca brokerage account.

We do not hold, custody, or have direct access to your funds. All live trades are executed through Alpaca's regulated brokerage infrastructure. Your Alpaca API keys are stored encrypted and used solely to execute trades per your configured settings.

Alpevox is a software tool and does not provide financial advice. All trading decisions made by the AI agent are based on your configured risk parameters. You are solely responsible for your trading activity and any resulting gains or losses.

13. AI and Automated Decision-Making

Alpevox uses Anthropic's Claude AI model to analyse market data and make automated trading decisions. The AI operates within the risk parameters you configure, including daily/weekly budget limits, stop-loss percentages, and sector allocation limits.

You have the right to understand how automated decisions are made, to override or disable the AI agent at any time, and to review all agent decisions in your dashboard.

We do not use your personal data to train AI models. Your trading data is used solely to operate the agent on your behalf.

Alpevox is operated from Australia and serves users in Australia, the United States, and Canada. Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States.

We ensure all data transfers comply with applicable privacy laws including the Australian Privacy Act 1988, and take appropriate measures to protect your data regardless of where it is processed.

15. Australian Privacy Act Compliance

Alpevox complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Australian users have the right to access and correct their personal information, and to make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
